Summer Fair 2013

Summer Fair 2013

It was time for our annual summer fair again this year we held it on Saturday 6th July 2013, it was a very good day and very hot too!
The staff even got involved and had a go in the sumo suits

Jacob did an excellent job in goal at penalty shoot out.

We even had a special visitor LENNY THE LION from Shrewsbury Town FC. He came to visit all the children and have some photographs. Everyone was so happy he could make it.

We had diddi dance come to do some dancing with the nursery and out of school.

Lucinda had fun with Grandma playing on the Guess the name stall.

Sponsored Diddi Dance-Asda Shrewsbury

Sponsored Diddi dance in Asda
We did a sponsored Diddi dance at Asda Shrewsbury for one of our pre-school children Poppy.
The children had a lovely time showing the local community their routines to the diddi dance songs.

With very kind help and support we managed to raise £471.90 for Poppy and her family to help get themselves new things that they unfortunately lost in a house fire. They were presented with their cheque at our Summer fair.

Shrewsbury Town Council

We were very lucky and we had Shrewsbury Town Council come to visit the pre-school children they brought some seeds for us to growing our outside growing area. Graham from the council was very nice and helped us plant our seeds and he told us how we can look after them by watering them.

Stay & Play- Being Healthy

We held our stay and play on 23rd April 2013 this term. Our theme was being healthy. We had lots of parents come along and participate in a variety of activities we offered such as: making your very own fruit smoothie, make your own fruit cocktail, and many physical activities. It was lots of fun.
Oscar and his Mum picked lots of tasty fruit to go in their smoothie.

Chloe and her Dad enjoyed playing in the sand pit together!

Oscar shows his Mummy & Daddy how he can go through the tents & tunnels.

Chloe & her Dad try different fruit for their healthy snack.

Carrie-Ann's Mum looks like she is enjoying the fruit smoothie Carrie made for her.

People who help us
Police visit

Our theme for February was people who help us. We looked at all the people in our lives and communities who help us every day. We discussed doctors and nurses, vets and paramedics. We also talked about how our friends and families are there to help us if we need it.

On the 26th of February we received a visit from a special constable called Paul. Paul is also Alfie's Daddy.

Here's Paul in his police uniform

Sam tries on Paul's hat and holds the truncheon

Seren and Becks also enjoy trying on Pauls hat
Paul shows the pre-school his radio that he uses when he is at work

Carrie-Ann takes a closer look at the radio
The pre-school all really enjoyed their visit from Paul and learned a lot about what the daily job of a policeman involves.

We would like to say a big thank you to Paul for taking the time to come and talk to us and show us some of his equipment.
