Apple Picking
with
Babies and Toddlers

On the 23rd of August the babies and toddlers went outside to see how our very own apple tree was doing. When we looked we notice that the apples were ready to eat, so we decided to pick them. We took it in turns to pick the apples and placed them in a bowl.

Once they were picked we washed them and chopped them into slices ready to eat. We think they tasted delicious! We are also very proud that we grew them all ourselves by planting the seeds and making sure we watered and looked after them.

Carrie-Ann and Nia both have a go at picking their apples from the tree.

Elsa enjoyed pulling her apple from the tree and used all of her strength as they were very well attached!

She then dropped her apple into the bucket being held carefully by Carrie-Ann.
Lucinda needed Claire's help to lift her up as she chose an apple very near to the top.
Seren also had fun pulling her apple from the tree and Diana carried the bucket back into nursery for us.

Time to eat our homegrown apples!

Carrie-Ann and Diana look very happy with their apples.
Club 0-14 is very proud of the children for taking such good care of the garden and the apple tree and we will be planting more trees soon.
