We have had lots of fun this week doing fun Halloween activities.
In the holiday club we have had a busy week, carving pumpkins, making Halloween
chocolate witchy apples and playing the tasting game and the spooky feely bowls.
David is brave having a go at the spooky feely bowls!

Look what a great job all the holiday club children did at carving their own pumpkins.

These are ready for our spooky decorations, for out Halloween party today!

The Toddlers new Hamster...
The toddlers have just got a new hamster called Barclay. He lives in the toddler room and each day they feed him and give him fresh water.
Here he is in his new home.

Nicola gets him out and speaks to the children about Barclay and what we need to do for him.

Gwen does a great job at holding Barclay the hamster.

Forest School
Pre-school are very lucky to have a new purpose built Forest school we go and use every Thursday morning. We join up with our Telford nursery and all have a forest school session together.
We collected sticks and leaves to make a birds nest. We gave the birds some seeds as well.

Carrie Ann shows us how she can balance across the logs.

Cooking Activity
This week all the children enjoyed making their very own pizzas.
Carrie-Ann, Jack and Diana do a great job at spreading the tomato puree over their Pizza base, after that they all selected different toppings for their pizza.

Sam took his Pizza home and enjoyed eating it with his Mummy and Daddy.
NEXT WEEK: our cooking activity will be BUTTER SCONES!

Wigwam
We have made our very own Wigwam. We have been kindly donated some logs from one of our parents, and Michelle has been very clever and made a wigwam out of it with the children.
Chloe had lots of fun in it.

Sam and spider Becks thought it was a great hide out.
We cant wait for more logs so we can make more.

We have grown our very own PUMPKINS...
We have been working really hard to grow our own pumpkins for Halloween this year, all the children have been looking after the pumpkin plants for many months now, watering them every day and we have our very own pumpkins now just in time for Halloween.
Lucinda, Carrie-Ann and Becks spoke about this at circle time.
Autumn
On Monday 30th September Pre-school and Toddlers enjoyed an Autumn walk around the local community, to look out for signs of the Autumn season.
Lucinda and Becks collect some of the fallen leaves, they put them in a bag so we can take them back to nursery.

Leyla found a big leaf that she chose to take back.

Diana decided to do a leaf drawing using a stencil.

Dylan and Poppy used the leaves we collected to do some leaf printing.

Pre-school's Activity
The pre-school all joined in making their very own road mat yesterday. They spoke about what buildings to put on the mat, and they all took turns to help Michelle draw and colour it in.
Chloe concentrates hard on the outline of the road.

Oliver was a great help too!

Chloe, Jack, Carrie-Ann, Lucinda and Oliver did a great job at colouring it in for Michelle.
They all had lots of fun  playing with the car mat afterwards.
