Stay and Play

Stay and Play
5th December
2012

This term our theme for the stay and play date was Diddi dance
Emma from Diddi Dance comes to see us every Tuesday and we love to join in and dance
Emma has a different theme for us each term and so far we have enjoyed Disco and Hip hop
Amy, Sarah and the children enjoy using the pom-poms given to them by Emma

For our stay and play we wanted the parents to come along and enjoy Diddi Dance with the children

Carrie-Ann and her Mummy get ready to dance

Every body collects their pom-poms from Emma

Lucinda has lots of fun waving the ribbon around

Jenah-Jane loved having her Mummy at the stay and play. Here is Layton with his Daddy
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and it was great for parents to see what we get up to at nursery!

Diana loves Diddi Dance and always gets involved

Layton and his Dad also loved taking part in the dancing

We would like to thank Emma for taking the time to come in and dance with us and we look forward to the new year and the new themes that Emma will be using

Children in Need 2012

Children in Need
2012

This year we spent the week 12th - 16th of November fundraising for children in need.
At Club 0-14 we think it is a very important charity and we are always happy to do all we can to help.
The following pictures will explain exactly what we got up to al week!

On Monday staff and children wore their spotty socks for spotty socks day

Tuesday was wear your spotty pyjamas day

Shell and Oscar came wearing their spotty pyjamas
Oscar's Mummy wrote a special message on the back of his top!

Keiran enjoys tucking into a cake as do the toddlers!
Diana and Carrie-Ann enjoy their picnic

Lucinda enjoys a snack with her monkey teddy and Amy

We also had a very special visitor!
Pudsey!

The children were very excited to meet Pudsey

The pre-school gathered round to say hello and Scarlet came to say hello with Sarah.

On Thursday we made our very own Pudsey bandages

Friday we made some lovely cakes to sell and wore head to toe spots

Carrie-Ann looks lovely dressed in her spots and so does Amy

We are very pleased that we are able to help such a good cause here at Club 0-14 and would like to say a big thank you for the donations.
A final amount will be posted shortly.

Halloween 2012

Halloween 2012

This year we had so much fun celebrating halloween.
We all got dressed up and had a great Halloween disco!

Oscar, Diana, Alfie and Jack enjoy emtying the pumpkin

Sam puts his hands all the way in to make sure the pumpkin is hollow
Seren also has a go

Nicola was dressed as a black cat and Claire was dressed as a witch!

Seren looked great as a witch and so did Peyton, Jack was a scary skeleton. Scarlet was a baby witch and Sam a little devil!

The party was great. Here's Shannon trying to get sweets out of flour!

Leon was very good at bobbing for apples

We think the children all looked great and we had a fantastic time celebrating halloween 2012 at
Club 0-14

Harvest Festival Collection

This weekend is Harvest Festival, we had a collection at the nursery

We took our collection to the Barnabas Centre where it will be added to their stock that they use to feed people in need.

We emptied our collection box into the holding bin, each day volunteers sort the donations out in the stock room and make up parcels for the needy

Using our RHS Award

Earlier this year we won £250 worth of gardening vouchers from the Royal Horticultural Society for our hard work in the nursery garden today we went to Dobbies graden centre to use some of them to get equipment ready for next year

We bought a small greenhouse, some planters, some soil and lots of seeds. We also got a new tree. As well as flower seeds we also got vegetable seeds and even some seeds to grow snacks for Phillip's hamsters

We re-potted the tree into a bigger pot to help it grow better

Here you can see how much bigger the new pot is
